Make Your Own CBD Edibles

People are experiencing more time at home, thanks to self-isolation, quarantine and shelter-in-place orders. You are probably one of them, and you may be looking for a new hobby, something to occupy your time. Baking is a great, rewarding endeavor, andinfusing some of your foods with CBD products can help you benefit from the positive effects of THC-free CBD baked goods.  CBD No THC Sourdough Bread

 

One of the things panic buying has wiped out is yeast. But never fear: with flour, water, and salt you can create delicious bread, pizza dough, and other foods to infuse with CBD tincture. This isn't a quick process, so patience is required, but it's well worth it.

 

Create a sourdough culture by mixing a quarter cup each of water and yeast. Stir it every so often and soon it will start bubbling (soon is relative; it may take three days or more). At this point continue feeding with flour and water for about a week, or until he doubles in size in about six hours after feeding. He'll grow, so make sure your container has plenty of room for him to at least double in size.

 

When you've got about two cups of starter, set aside one cup and keep the rest to feed to make more starter to continue the cycle. To the one cup of set aside starter, add three cups of bread flour and one cup of warm water. Mix together to form a shaggy dough. Let rest for 30 minutes, covered.

 

Sprinkle two teaspoons of salt over the dough -- this is also a good time to add your CBD products to turn this amazing bread into amazing CBD edibles. Knead for 15 minutes, or until dough is smooth and tacky, but not sticky. Place in a greased loaf pan and let rest in the fridge or at room temp until it doubles in size. This will take several hours or even a couple of days, but the reward is CBD no THC sourdough bread!

 

Score with a sharp knife and bake for 35-45 minutes at 425 degrees Fahrenheit with plenty of steam. Bread is done when it sounds hollow on the bottom and/or reaches 203 degrees Fahrenheit internal temp.
