The alternatives to vaping have been around for a long time compared to it, so there's a perspective the industry is still in its infancy. On top of that, we can neatly categorize it as a part of the new-gen tech, giving it that 'fresh' feel.

If you are one of those people that is yet to get familiar with vaping, or you want to learn more about it ' you're in the right place! We will discuss six important facts and tips that a new vaper should know about before starting. Are we ready? Let's go!

Labels are your friends!

First of all, you need to know what you're getting when buying vape juices. Reading the label carefully before making a purchase is an excellent idea if you want to avoid having a bad experience when vaping. Many people new to vaping may tend to overdo it because of its reputation of being less harmful than the alternatives. Still, if you overdo it, especially with some types of vape juices, you may start experiencing some side effects. Here is a list of the most common ones:

  • Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, or stomach ache
  • Eye irritation
  • Headaches
  • Anxiety and restlessness
  • Sweating
  • Confusion
  • Difficulty breathing
  • Tremors
  • Seizures

These side effects are temporary, of course, but if you experience any of them, maybe it's time to put the vape pen down and have a breather. Drinking some water is a good idea as well.

Sharing is not caring!

You don't want to share your vaping pen. There are all kinds of germs and bacteria that we can pick up from other peoples' saliva, and there's no way to take a hit without leaving at least some on the pen. Furthermore, people who ask to take a hit from other people's pens don't vape in most cases. This y be extra sloppy with it. Just don't share your vape ' it's not worth it.

Since the beginnings of vaping back in 2003, we have gone a long way regarding the devices we use. Here's a list of devices that can be used for vaping by the chronological order of their appearance:

  • Cig-a-like (2003)
  • Vape pens (the Mid 2000s)
  • Mods (The early 2010s)
  • Pod Mods (the Mid 2010s)

All of these devices are a bit different from each other and offer specific advantages and disadvantages. The price tag is vastly different as well. So, make sure you are really into it if you decide to buy a top-notch Pod Mod for example.

You should also be aware that Mods and Pod Mods can be very complex, and it may take a novice some time to figure out how to use it properly and maintain it in good condition.

Types of e-liquids

When choosing an e-liquid for yourself, you will have to pay attention to a couple of things.

First, how many mg of nicotine per ml of fluid goes into a specific liquid. This is important because the optimal amount of nicotine may vary from person to person, depending on their tolerance, preferences, and habits.

Second, we have to worry about flavors. Most people who take vaping start with menthol, as they are familiar and easy to get accustomed to. Still, there are thousands of flavors and combinations of flavors out there. If you're trying a flavor for the first time, we recommend buying small as then you won't be wasting money if you don't end up particularly liking the taste.

Vapers tend to use their devices daily, and we carry them around with us everywhere we go. So much so that we tend to put them down on tables, on chairs, they roll around our pockets, bags, backpacks, etc.

Furthermore, vaping leaves residue inside the device, and we need to clean it every once in a while, to ensure proper function. Otherwise, it might start leaking, producing dry or bad tasting hits, and even fully malfunctioning.

Well, these are the basics. There is so much to say about vaping, and it will be tough to put it all in writing. If some things are still unclear, maybe try contacting your vendor or a shop employee to clear things up ' they have the most experience and will be able to help you resolve everything. Happy vaping!
